Virtual Consultations

When we can’t treat you in person at the clinic, virtual consultations allow you to have a one-on-one consultation with an osteopath via live video link.

‘How can my Osteo help me without using their hands?’ - we hear you ask. Virtual consultations can be just as effective as in-person appointments.

We can learn a lot about you and your complaint, as well as provide you the opportunity to ask questions and develop a management plan.

What to expect from a virtual consultation?

  • When you book an online appointment you will receive an email  confirming the date, time, as well as a link to the appointment

  • By using video link, your Osteopath will ask a series of questions about your presenting complaint as well as your past medical history. We will discuss your overall health and the goals you would like to achieve. We can assess any relevant scans or reports during this time. With all of this information obtained we can assess your situation and any possible conditions to consider.

  • Your Osteopath may ask you to perform a series of movements to assess your mobility and investigate your symptoms.

  • Your Osteopath can then advise you on appropriate exercises and stretches or pain management therapy . Importantly, your Osteopaths may also advise you on certain activities or exercises to avoid that may be exacerbating the problem.

  • Referral: if necessary your Osteopath can refer you for X-ray imaging or possibly to a general practitioner.

  • We will email you a management plan after your consultation.
